Urquhart and Glenmoriston is a united parish in the Mainland district of Inverness-shire situated on the west bank of Loch Ness.
It contains the villages and hamlets of Corrimony, Drumnadrochit, Dundreggan, Invermorriston and Lewistown. The A82 trunk road from Glasgow to Inverness runs along the shore of Loch Ness through the parish. It is 30 miles long and in general from eight to twelve miles broad. Castle Urquhart is the only indicator of ancient times and was one of a chain of fortresses from Inverness to Inverlochy.
