Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern is a village and ancient parish in Monmouthshire, located between Abergavenny and Monmouth and north of Raglan. The River Trothy passes close by to the north of the village, dividing the parish between Skenfrith Hundred to the north and Raglan Hundred to the south.
History and amenities
Joseph Bradney, the historian, acquired, partly by inheritance and partly purchase, an estate at Talycoed, Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern, where he settled at an early age.[1] A Latin tablet in St Michael's Church at Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern records his achievements.
The Offa's Dyke Path long distance footpath passes through the village. As its name suggests, the village has a parish church dedicated to St Michael.
