The parish lies in the extreme north-west corner of Denbighshire, and comprises the townships of Cilgwyn, Colwyn, Dynerth, Eirias, Llwyd-y-Coed, Mochdre and Rhiw. It is bounded to the east by Llysfaen; to the south by Llansantffraid Glan Conwy and Llanelian-yn-Rhos; to the west by the Caernarfonshire parishes of Llangwstenin and Eglwysrhos; and to the north by the sea.
