Information |
Shawfield Footbridge, also known as The SMARTbridge (and several variations on that name) is a pedestrian bridge built in 2014 across the River Clyde in Glasgow, in Lanarkshire, between Shawfield on the south bank of the river and Dalmarnock on the north.
The bridge, with associated landscaping, was built as part of a project related to the 2014 Commonwealth Games. It was also to encourage people working in the area to make use of the nearby Dalmarnock railway station. The bridge also carries communications and power connections over the river.[1][2]
