The Dalmarnock Railway Bridge spans the River Clyde in Lanarkshire upstream of Glasgow city centre, between Dalmarnock on the north bank and Rutherglen on the south.
There have been two railway bridges in Dalmarnock crossing the Clyde. The first was built in 1861,[1] and was augmented in 1897[2] by a wider bridge to accommodate the Dalmarnock branch line. The stone pillars of the old bridge are still in situ adjacent to the newer bridge, though the track deck was removed when it was no longer necessary to have so many lines.[3] Both bridges were designed by George Graham.
