Soulby is a village in Westmorland, at a meeting of several little lanes in the valley of the River Eden. It is a mile and a half north-west of Kirkby Stephen and four miles south-west of Brough,

A river flows through the village – the Scandal Beck, which here turns from its northbound course to run eastwards to the Eden a mile east of Soulby.
