Hazelslack is a hamlet in the southernmost part of Westmorland, wedged between the two parts of Lancashire: it sits just a few hundred yards north of the border of Lancashire's main body (south of the sands), and barely a mile from the Kent Estuary which divides Westmorland from Lancashire North of the Sands. Nearby are the villages of Arnside and Storth.
Nearby Hazelslack Tower is the ruins of a 14th-century building, and is Grade II listed.[1] It has been described as a peel tower and is a Scheduled Monument. As of 2014, English Heritage considered the condition of the privately owned tower to be very bad.[2]
Hazelslack also has a camp site.[3]
