Galleny Force is a waterfall on the Stonethwaite Beck in the Lake District of Cumberland, in a little gorge in the Borrowdale Fells where the beck forms into delightful shaded pools beneath the falls.
The beck courses from the fells high fells down to Borrowdale, where it joins the River Derwent, and above the dale it carves its own gorge. The Galleny Force is a series of cascades on the beck
The area beneath the fall has been nicknamed 'the Fairy Glen', in which lies two sets of deep pools two hundred yards apart yards lie in the clear waters in a fern-shaded bower beneath the open fell slopes.
