Dalton Castle is a 14th-century peel tower standing in Dalton-in-Furness in Lancashire North of the Sands.

The tower was built by the monks of Furness Abbey in the unquiet times of the Middle Ages, for the protection of the nearby market town; in that age Dalton was the largest town of Furness. The castle was the building from which the Abbot administered Furness and dispensed justice.

Dalton Castle today is Grade I listed and in the ownership of the National Trust.[1]

The property hosts an exhibition on a local history as well as a display about local painter George Romney.
