The Alaw's estuary at low tide

The River Alaw is a modest river of Anglesey. It flows out of Llyn Alaw, the largest lake on the Isle of Anglesey, a man-made reservoir, and flows westward. It flows through the village of Elim, then to Llanfachraeth and to the sea in the bay between the main island and Holy Island, north of the causeway which carries the main roads across.
