Elim, Anglesey

Elim is a small village in west-central Anglesey, located around 1 mile south-east of Llanddeusant and 3 miles south-west of Llyn Alaw. It is sited close to the Bedd Branwen ring cairn.[1]
The name is Biblical, referring to Elim, one of the places at which the Israelites camped following their Exodus from Egypt. It appears in Exodus 15.27 and in Numbers 33.9 as a place where "there were twelve wells of water, and seventy date palms," and that the Israelites "camped there near the water".
