Old Chalford is a hamlet in the west of Oxfordshire, in the Cotswolds two miles east of Chipping Norton.
This hamlet is at the end of a single track, by the River Glyme, which is dammed in the hamlet forming a number of ponds.
The Wychwood Way long distance footpath passes through the hamlet, and Shakespeare's Way runs through it. About half a mile south-east are old earthworks and ruins of limestone walls which are the remains of Nether Chalford, a deserted mediæval village.[1] Two miles downstream is Enstone.
