South Hiendley is a village in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Its population was counted at 1,817 according to the 2011 Census.
The village is eight miles from Wakefield city centre, and marginally closer to the town of Barnsley, seven miles away.
The village has one public house, The Sun Inn; the Fox Inn was demolished in 2013.
