Loch Dochfour is a minor loch in the Great Glen in Inverness-shire. It is the last loch in the Great Glen north-eastwards, and might today be considered simply the lower end of Loch Ness.
From the foot of Loch Dochfour the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal emerge heading northwest to Inverness, which stands some five miles distant.
