Wigsley is a village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire, found 10 miles west of Lincoln. To the south-west of the village are the remains of RAF Wigsley airfield. The civil parish originates as a township of the ancient parish of Thorney in Newark Wapentake.
Wigsley is one of the Thankful Villages; those rare places that were spared the loss of any of their men in the Great War of 1914 to 1918.
