The Sound, Melchior Islands
The Sound is a sea passage running north-to-south between the East Melchior Islands and West Melchior Islands, the Melchior Islands being a cluster of islands between Anvers Island and Brabant Island amongst the larger Palmer Archipelago west of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
The Sound was roughly charted by the French Antarctic Expedition, 1903-05. It was further charted by Discovery Investigations in 1927 and probably named at that time.
