Tetley was a village in the low fenland in the north of Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire, sitting just south of Crowle west of Ealand. This village, but this village was deserted over the ages and lost.. Tetley Village is known to have existed in 1316.[1]

Around Tetley today
Tetley Hall rwmains. It is a Grade II listed building dating from 1829-39 for Henry Lister Maw, although its range is late 18th century, and built for George Stovin.[2] The stables and granary are also Grade II listed.[3]
Near Tetley Hall sits a limestone tub-font which is perhaps from the mid-17th century, with two very worn dates carved on it, possible 1660. The font might have come from the Protestant church in the fortified settlement at Sandtoft.[4]
