Preseli Hills

The Preseli Hills are a range of hills in northern Pembrokeshire, renowned for their fair and lofty bearing. The hills rise to 1,760 feet above sea level at Foel Cwmcerwyn, which is Pembrokeshire's highest point.

These hills are dotted with prehistoric remains, including evidence of Neolithic settlement and the quarry from which bluestones were hewn to be carried somehow all the way to Stonehenge. (Read more)
