Stewton is a village in Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire, sitting in the Lincolnshire Wolds about two miles east of the town of Louth.
In the Domesday Book of 1086 the village appears as "Stivetone", with of 19 households, three acres of meadow and five acres of woodland.[1]
The parish church, St Andrew, dates from the 11th century, although it was rebuilt in 1866 by James Fowler of Louth. In 1902 the west porch was added. The church is a Grade II* listed building.[2]
