Southrey is a village in Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire, and about two miles south-east of Bardney.

In the Domesday Book of 1086 Southrey is listed as "Sutrei", comprising 11 households.[1]
The little church, dedicated to St John the Divine, was built in 1898.[2]
About the village
Southrey Wood Butterfly Reserve is managed by Butterfly Conservation. Southrey Woods cover 22 acres and are part of Bardney Limewoods, a Site of Special Scientific Interest[3][4]
Southrey railway station opened in 1848 and closed in 1970.[5]
