Shackleton Valley is a broad valley of South Georgia, running west-northwest from Stromness Harbour (on Stromness Bay).
In this valley Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton completed his epic traverse of South Georgia with Worseley and Crean in May 1916, following their boat journey from Elephant Island. At the foot of the valley stood the whaling settlement of Stromness where they made contact with Thoralf Sørlle, the station manager, and set about organizing the rescue of the rest of their party.
The valley was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee after Shackleton.
