Pica is a hamlet in western Cumberland, at a meeting of lanes a hmile and a half south-east of Distington, halfway between Workington and Whitehaven but two and a half miles inland.
The industrial railway line from the quarries inland at Rowrah worked its sinuous route around Pica, but has long since been closed and lifted.
