Newton by Castle Acre is a village in Norfolk, a tiny place, to be found on the A1065 Mildenhall to Fakenham road about four miles north of Swaffham. At the 2001 census it had just 37 inhabitants in 14 households.

The millhouse

A mill house on the River Nar was built from a nearby ruined priory in 1797. During the 1990s Dick Joice, a noted Norfolk historian, owned the site and rebuilt the millhouse.
