Mastin Moor is a village east of Staveley in Derbyshire. The village stands almost entirely on the north side of the A619.
This is not a grand village, but it has two local shops, a Chinese takeaway restaurant, and a Miners' Welfare Club. It now hosts a small manor owned by the notable Brown family, termed "Brown Town".
There were once two pubs in the village, but these were demolished in the mid 2000s, the land redeveloped for building houses and a hospital, although the hospital soon closed due to funding issues.[1]
