Kensworth is a village in Hertfordshire, lying close by the Bedfordshire border, on the road to Whipsnade in the latter county.
Kensworth is on the edge of Dunstable Downs, and includes the hamlets of California and Kensworth Lynch. The large town of Dunstable lies to the north.

The parish church, St Mary the Virgin, is a Norman building with later additions. Its stained glass window was previously displayed in London.
About the village
This is a village well provided for as places of this size go. There are two churches, two pubs and two shops. There a village hall, allotments, a recreation ground, and a lower school.
Kensworth Chalk Pit is a working quarry and is the biggest employer in the parish. The pit is owned and mined by Cemex, but has also been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England.
