Gayton le Marsh is a village in Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire, found six miles south-east of the nearest small town, Louth, and about six miles north of Alford. The population of the civil parish was 155 at the 2011 census.
The parish church, St George's, was demolished in 1971.[1][2] It had a western tower, and was rebuilt in 1847.
A red-brick drainage pumping station was built here about 1850, which is now a Grade II listed building.[3]
Gayton le Marsh C of E School was built as a National School in 1837, and closed in 1924.[4]
