Ferriby Sluice is a hamlet on the shore of the Humber, in the north of Lindsey, Lincolnshire's northern part. It stands upstream of the Humber Bridge, near the lock complex where the River Ancholme joins the Humber. It is considered to be part of the village of South Ferriby but once stood alone in its own right.[1]
Ferriby Sluice is still physically separated from the bulk of South Ferriby, sitting to the west of it. This was formerly the point of departure for the packet boats that used to ply the Humber and is now the site of a marina.
