Dinting Vale is a village in Glossopdale, Derbyshire. It stands across the Glossop Brook from Higher Dinting, Dinting and Glossop, clinging to the A57 along the dale.
Dinting Vale Printworks became renowned through the Potter family which included Edmund Potter and his brother Rupert Potter, the father of Beatrix Potter. Beatrix often visited her father and uncle at the Print Works. The street names in a housing estate in Dinting Vale allude to Beatrix's characters, for example 'Peter Rabbit Close'.
