Dùn da Ghaoithe is the second-highest mountain on the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides, within Argyllshire. It is the island's only 'Corbett' [1], as its highest mountain, Ben More exceeds 3,000 feet and so qualifies for the greater listing as a Munro.
The mountain's name is Gaelic, meaning "fort of the two winds".
Dùn da Ghaoithe reaches 2,513 feet high, but "its long ridge and deep corries make it seem far higher".[2] It boasts sea views "in almost every direction",[2] and is the main mountain seen by visitors to the island on leaving the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Oban at Craignure.[1]
