Camelsdale is a small village in Sussex, to the west of the village of Hammer. Both villages stands by the border with Surrey, opposite Shottermill in the latter county across the brook which divides the shires at this point. The spread of cottages tentatively reaches across the brook in a string all the way to Haslemere.
The village's church is St Paul’s, part of the parish of Lynchmere and Camelsdale in the Diocese of Chichester.
