Broughton is a little village in the south of Glamorgan, a mile south of Wick and three miles north-west of Llantwit Major. Lanes run down to the rocky coast of the Bristol Channel from here.
The Valeways Millennium Heritage Trail, a circular walking route around this part of the county, runs through Broughton. The Wales Coast Path runs to the south and west, clinging to the coastline.
