Aguirre Passage is the channel separating the Danco Coast of Graham Land from Lemaire Island, all in the British Antarctic Territory
The passage was called 'Paradise Channel' by the British Antarctic Expedition of 1920-22, in association with Paradise Harbour, or 'The Channel'. Following the Chilean Antarctic Expedition of 1950-51, the name 'Canal Aguirre Cerda' was suggested, after Don Pedro Aguirre Cerda (1879-1941), President of Chile from 1938 to 1941.
