Staines Green is a little hamlet in the valley of the River Mimram in Hertfordshire. It is just to the southwest of the county town, Hertford, and a step westward of Hertingfordbury and eastward of Cole Green.
The A414 dual carriageway to Hertford cuts cruelly across the top of the village.
