High Cross is a village in Hertfordshire to the north of Ware. It stands on the old Roman road, Ermine Street which became the Old North Road, though now bypassed by the A10. To the south are Wadesmill and Thundridge, on either side of the River Rib.
Parish church
The parish church is St John the Evangelist, a fine Gothic-styled church whose tower is topped by a "Hertfordshire spike".
