The Ceredgion flag is the proposed flag of the County of Cardigan. It has not yet been registered with the Flag Institute.[1]
Contents
Design
Illustrated by Philip Tibbetts, the flag features a gold lion reguardant (looking backwards) on a black field. This design was attributed as the arms of the ancient Welsh kingdom of Ceredigion from which the modern county derives and were incorporated into the arms used by the local council. The proposed flag is therefore a banner of the ancient Ceredigion arms.
