Birch Green is a small village in Hertfordshire, just southwest of the county town, Hertford, and southeast of Welwyn Garden City. It stands to the south of the A414 trunk road, with Cole Green to the west and Staines Green to the east, all in the land between the River Lea and River Mimram, to of the rivers which converge at Hertford.
