Pintail Peninsula
Pintail Peninsula is a peninsula on the north coast of South Georgia, two miles long between Stromness Harbour and Husvik Harbour, running from Berntsen Ridge in the west to Tönsberg Point in the east.
The eastern half of the peninsula is composed of tussac grass covered hillocks with several small freshwater lakes. It supports a major breeding concentration of South Georgia Pintail ducks. The peninsula is named in association with the ducks
