Penguin Point, Coronation Island
Penguin Point is the north-western point of Coronation Island amongst the South Orkney Islands in the British Antarctic Territory and and the north-western entrance point of Tønsberg Cove.
The point was charted by Powell on 7 December 1821, but the name from the numerous penguins seen was applied to the northern extremity of the Governor Islands lying off the point. The area was recharted by Discovery Investigations in 1933. The point was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Signy in 1956-58.
