Gibbon Bay lies between Rayner Point and The Turret, on the east coast of Coronation Island amongst the South Orkney Islands in the British Antarctic Territory.

The point was charted by Discovery Investigations in January 1933 and named after Dr Geoffrey McKay Gibbon (1896-1983), surgeon in Discovery II, serving with Discovery Investigations in 1931-33, who assisted in hydrographic work in the South Orkney Islands.
