Rayner Point is the north entrance point of Gibbon Bay in the east of Coronation Island amongst the South Orkney Islands in the British Antarctic Territory.
The point was charted by Sørlle in 1912-13, and recharted by Discovery Investigations in 1933. It is named after George William Rayner, a British zoologist and member of Discovery Investigations scientific staff in 1928-39; at 'Marine Station' in Grytviken 1928-29; on Discovery II in 1932-33; on the William Scoresby 1929-32 and 1934-38. The point was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Signy in 1956-58.
