Warsett Hill
Yorkshire
Summit: 545 feet NZ692214
54°34’59"N, -0°55’51"W

Warsett Hill is a little hill on the coast of the North Riding of Yorkshire, just east of Saltburn-by-the-Sea and north of Brotton. Though it only climbs to 545 feet, this is the highest point on this part of the coast.

The hill might, at a stretch, be considered a furthermost outlier of the Cleveland Hills that rise grandly to the south and plough into the coast between Staithes and Scarborough.

Warsett Hill is in the care on the National Trust, as part of its 'Yorkshire Coast' holdings.

A peculiar concrete building stands on the flank of the hill: the ruin of the Guibal Fanhouse, which in its time ventilated the Huntcliff ironstone mine. It stands beside the freight-only railway to Skinningrove and Boulby.
