Cape George
Cape George is a eadland on the north coast of South Georgia, marking the entrance point of Godthul.
The headland was discovered and roughly charted on 18 January 1775 by Cook, who thought it formed the west point of Royal Bay and named it after King George III (1760-1820), as he named the opposite head 'Cape Charlotte' after Queen Charlotte.
