Glen Artney

Glen Artney or Glenartney is a glen in south-western Perthshire; a slice though the hills running south-west to north-east through which the Water of Ruchill runs down to join the River Earn below Loch Earn. It is a gentle, steepsoided vallley, and much of the floor of the glen is wooded beside the river.

The foot of the glen is by Comrie and Dalginross, on the Earn.

To the north-west of the glen, between Glen Artney and Loch Earn, is a lansdscape of high, moorland hills known as the Forest of Glenartney: an almost treeless landscape using the old meaning of 'forest'
