In Ape Dale, near Wolverton

Ape Dale is the broad valley on the north side of Wenlock Edge in Shropshire. It runs in the north-east to south-west direction parallel to the Edge. The Eaton Brook, which becomes the Byrne Brook, runs down the valley to join the River Onny just north of Craven Arms.

The largest village in the dale is Alcaston.
