Kirby Malham looking towards Gordale Scar

Kirkby Malham is a small village and civil parish in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Situated in the Yorkshire Dales it lies five miles east of Settle. The wider ancient parish of Kirkby Malhamdale includes the townships of Airton, Calton, Hanlith, Malham, Malham Moor, Otterburn and Scosthrop.

The population of the civil parish as taken in the 2011 Census (including Hanlith and Scosthrop) was 202.[1]

American writer Bill Bryson once resided in the village.[2]

It has a joint parish council, Kirkby Malhamdale Parish Council, with Malham, Malham Moor and Hanlith.[3]
