Dane's Cast
The Dane’s Cast is a prehistoric earthwork the remains of which appear in County Armagh and in County Down. It may once have been a continuous line, interrupted by the Newry River, but is now visibale only in sections, the best preserved of which is found at Scarva, in Downshire, running along the Newry River.
A number of prehistoric burial mounds are found along the course of the Dane's Cast.
