Studley Royal Park

Studley Royal Park is an extensive landscaped park in the North Riding of Yorkshire and in which are contained a mansion and the ruins of Fountains Abbey, one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in Britain; all within exquisite landscape in the meadows of the River Skell, just west of Ripon.

The park is a World Heritage Site of 798 acres representing the endeavours of several ages: a great mediæval monastery, a Jacobean mansion, a deer park, an 18th-century landscaped garden and a Victorian church. (Read more)
