In the Millbuie Forest

Millbuie is ridgy hill forming the backbone of the Black Isle in Ross-shire and Cromartyshire. It extends from Muir of Ord in the south-west to Gallow Hill in the north-east for a distance of some 19 miles. It forms the watershed between the Beauly and the Cromarty Firths.

The Millbuie Forest fills much of the middle of the Black Isle, rising to a peak at Eagle Hill (840 feet).
