Falahill is a village in the Moorfoot Hills, in the south of Midlothian (and within the Parish of Heriot).

Nearby are Gilston, the Heriot Water, Oxton, Berwickshire, Soutra Hill, and Torquhan.

Miscellany

The American President Franklin D Roosevelt named his dog ‘Murray the Outlaw of Falahill’ after an ancestor from this village. The dog was usually named ‘Fala’.
