Kilbrannan Sound
Kilbrannan Sound is a sound in the Firth of Clyde, which separates the Kintyre Peninsula of Argyllshire from the Isle of Arran, which belongs to Buteshire.
Kilbrannan Sound is the western arm of the Firth of Clyde, reaching down the whole west side of Arran and the greater part of Kintyre's eastern shore. It is joined to the main body of the Firth of Clyde in the north by the Sound of Bute, and at its southern end the Firth opens into the North Channel.
